It’s great to be back!!
Firstl,y can I say how good it is to see the clubhouse getting back to being the hub of the Club. We’ve had great numbers down for the mini & juniors on Sundays. The Sunday Kitchen is going well and we are now doing our best to support our local businesses as much as we can. All our meat is supplied by Joseph Morris and our bread now baked fresh from local bakeries.
The Under 15s/16’s held a social evening that was well attended and enjoyed by all and there are several age groups looking to set up a social evening. The Seniors are back in full swing and it was fantastic to see the turn out for our first official 1st XV home fixture of the season. The addition of the bouncy castle and our resident musician Daniel Gardelio providing evening entertainment, guaranteed a great day was had by all!! The 2’s and 3’s are getting fixtures and all of the senior teams are doing a great job of hosting the away teams.
Thursday food is back on and seeing over 30 players back down for the first “Nando’s Night” was brilliant!!! The Colts are doing a sterling job of getting fixtures and even though the ever present battle for numbers continues, it’s heartwarming to see the enthusiasm the lads bring to the club.
The Club refurbishments are now coming to an end with just a few jobs awaiting completion – it’s been a long term battle with the impact of Covid but thank you all for your patience. A special shout out to “Sloggy” otherwise known as Paul Ashberry and Aspex for their massive support on the refurb – Thank You Paul !!
Lastly……please remember this is your club and if we can do anything to support your age group please don’t hesitate to speak to one of the Bar Team.
PS Don’t forget the club kitchen is open every Sunday Morning so even if you’re just passing or on the way to pick up a morning paper, please feel free to call in for a coffee or indulge in a full cooked English breakfast…..I guarantee you won’t regret it
And don’t forget the ‘Full English Breakfast” Bap, as seen below!!
